There are currently two immigration offices in Barcelona:
LOCATION 1 - PASSEIG SANT JOAN
ADDRESS: Immigration Office located in Paseo Sant Joan, 189-193, 08037, Barcelona.
District: Gràcia
SCHEDULE:
- From 9.00 a.m. to 5.30 p.m.: Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday
- 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.: Friday
SUMMER SCHEDULE – June 16 to September 15:
9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.: Monday to Friday

* Keep in mind that to be attended in person, you must get an appointment online, both at location 1 and 2.
WHAT YOU CAN DO THERE
Basically, this is the office in which:
- You can get the non-resident NIE (for non-EU citizens)
- Process the Asylum applications
- The non-lucrative visa or student visa applications are processed.
LOCATION 2 - CALLE MURCIA
ADDRESS: Immigration Office located in Murcia Street, 42, 08027, Barcelona.
SCHEDULE
- From 9.00 a.m. to 5.30 p.m.: Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday
- 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.: Friday
SUMMER SCHEDULE (June 16 to September 15)

Get an appointment at the immigration office
As we have said, it is important to make an appointment in order to be attended at any of the offices.
However, not all immigration procedures require you to book day and time.
Which are the immigration procedures that require getting an appointment?
You will have to get an appointment, basically, for the following procedures:
- Family reunification
- Residence card as a family member of an EU citizen
- Arraigo: Residence authorization for exceptional circumstances.
On the contrary, extensions of stays for study purposes and renewals of residence and work authorizations do not require prior appointments.
